The timeline below is intended to contextualise the personalities that make up our Magical Legacy. The story begins in Egypt radiates around the Mediterranean, thence to Europe and the greater world. This takes no account of other civilisations which are outside this geographic and philosophical remit.
At this point in history we have the opportunity of a clearer and broader perspective than humanity has ever been afforded; we have immeasurably sophisticated research tools and, importantly, the freedom to share this information. And therein may lay a danger. It's an unfortunate fact that we have a nasty tendency to ascribe value based on ticket price. If the potential price for dealing in magic is imprisonment or death how profound must be your belief.
